Founr of the plates listed above had been sold at previous Shannons auctions with the following results:

• 165 – Sold for $121,500 in May 2014 (auction result)
• 229 – Sold for $94,000 in June 2009 (auction result)
• 241 – Sold for $101,000 in February 2010 (auction result)
• 255 – Sold for $80,000 in June 2009 (auction result)

This shows that heritage plate values don’t necessarily always increase over the years.
